Beginning in 2012 as a word-of-the-day site, The Wordict has since evolved into a place where readers, writers and lovers of words can view a collection of  articles, definitions, news, how-to guides, and other content related to words and punctuation. Put simply, it’s a celebration of words, with the aim to inspire and encourage people to embrace their enthusiasm for the importance of using correct spelling and punctuation, as well as sharing with them the excitement that learning and using new words can bring. Lisa Ferlazzo recently completed a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University, majoring in Professional and Creative Writing. Ever since she was a toddler, the library has been her favourite place to be, leading her to develop a passionate interest in writing, reading and discussing the written word. She considers herself fortunate to have grown up surrounded by words, and would never trade her passion for anything in the world.
